Adventure Playground

Free open-access play service for 6-16 year-olds

An inclusive safe play space, where children can make new friends, overcome challenges and build self-esteem. The free afterschool club runs on Wednesdays from 3:30 - 6:30pm during term-time and during all holidays we offer a free holiday playscheme Monday-Friday 10am - 4pm.

This free open-access service provides structured play, an adventure playground with climbing structures and zip-wire, sports and arts activities, games and cooking, led by a highly qualified team of playworkers.  We offer off-site trips, new opportunities and experiences to everyone.  During the holidays we offer each child a healthy nutritious meal to ensure each child receives part of their daily nutritional intake.

Holiday Courses

Holiday Courses for 8-16 year olds run during school holidays

UINCAP’s holiday courses provide an excellent opportunity for children to experience capoeira and related dance and music for the first time, in a supportive environment.   The courses also include instrument-making and visual arts sessions and we work towards an end of course performance each week.

The holiday projects also give those children with experience the opportunity to develop their skills further and to take part in specialised ‘masterclass-style’ sessions, such as instrumental playing, vocal work, acrobatics and so on.

We are currently planning our summer 2020 provision.  Depending on the situation with lockdown easing this may involve smaller sessions, staggered activity times with reduced numbers, or online provision.  If you would like to be sent more information and to receive an application pack, please email us or sign-up to our mailing list.
